Imagine you lie on your bed all ready to fall asleep you just cant sleep. The reason being that all sorts of things are coming to mind. From what you are going to do tomorrow to what you did as a kid. Thoughts thoughts and thoughts. Your mind is cluttered with them. So you try to enter this meditative state consciously in which you think of nothing. The intention being that you will rid yourself of all thoughts and finally fall asleep.
However, what if in these flurry of thoughts you will stumble upon one that will change the course of your life forever, What if that one thought makes you richer than you have ever hoped to be (or happier than you have ever wanted to be it just depends on the story of success you tell yourself). So now the dilemma is either keep tossing and turning in your sleep hoping you will someday think of something that will change everything or control your thoughts and get a good nights sleep.
I battle with this on most nights that I am going to sleep and now that you have read it, you will too.
